Subjects

Hello there. I'm here to clear the 1 metre thick dust.

I had decided to blog after reading Yongkian's blog about subject and I am going to do the same too.

Well, I do agree with him that even if you have the passion for a particular subject and is really enthusiatic about studying. It doesn't mean that you will definitely score well for it. I guess it got to do with your study methods and your intelligent. I am one of the perfect example. My undying love for chemistry is known to all but I hardly score well in it in major exams.

Major examinations are always a true test to one's passion towards a subject. When I say major its really major; like O level. After getting an A2 in chinese, I find that it has become really hard for me to write a composition, especially narrative. Some thing just wouldn't go away. I started to committe mistakes that I never did. It is really saddening for this to be happening, especially to a subject that you once have confidence in.

Although there are always some relationship between subjects and normally if you do well for one, you will do well for its partner too. The most common combination is Physics and Mathematics. (to: 黄容 Yes, I did it on purpose. ) Why is mathematics so important. I talked to Miss Lim about my physics this afternoon and she said that my results are like sine curve. How I wish that I can do well in my sciences again. The classroom environment affects one's performance. If I had work hard in my lower secondary, I would have get into the course I want. (The course I want was not offered. How irritating can this school be?)

Seriously, I have been comtemplating on what have I been doing in primary school these day. My basics are so weak. Especially my english. I feel that even in primary school, the teacher must still be really proficent in a particular subject and only teach 2 or 1 subject but not all. I dont remember learning much. Or is it because I have really bad memory. Nonetheless, if I am more hardworking, I may not suffer as much now.

Copying from yongkian again, I shall come out with my subjects honour roll too.
  1. Chemistry
  2. English
  3. Geography
  4. Physics
  5. Social Studies
  6. Elementary Mathematics
  7. Additional Mathematics
  8. Chinese

Is it shocking, frankly speaking, I don't really feel much for the last three subjects. BUT I don't hate them.

If I was to add a subject that I am not taking, I will add English Literature. I feel that it is really an interesting and fun subject. But, my school is really fond of making changes and it failed utterly for my batch, resulting with not pure humanities around. I will fight to get this subject if I ever get into a Junior College. We will see.

Wow, it has been long since I typed some much. Guess its time to bid farewell. Bye.
